Has anyone here done the herculiner or duplicolor, do it yourself bed liner? Is it worth the time or is it better to pay someone to do it. Looking to get rid of the plastic drop in one

My son inlaw has a spray in liner it is absolutely bullet proof. He uses it as a truck in the shipyard and it still looks fresh after several years. The only drawback that I can see is it adds wieght. Where as if you wanted to pull the slip in liner it easy to do. I have a factory slip in and find it to suit my needs.

I'd pay someone to do it. It took me and a buddy about 4 hours to do the floor of his jeep.
I'm gonna have it done, and if I have a toolbox by then, I'll get them to spray it too

A couple friends of mine did their S10's...they had to redo them after a year due to the fading...they did the Herculiner...

Just like with everything, its all about the prep, the better the prep job, the better the end result, but when it chips or fades etc, you are the one that has to redo it. With Line-X if anything happens to it they'll respray it for free...just something to think about.

Get the Line X, mine still looks new and ya cant hurt the stuff. Like stated above it also has a lifetime warranty which if he has to get touched up even once makes it worth the sticker shock.

I would prolly just pay someone to do it. Better than risking something not lasting too long, and problems with the installation.

Ya pay for it, and also get the UV protection package, thought it was a bunch of hogwash when i got mine, now that mine is begging to fade i wish i had gotten it.

my ford driving neighbor did his own duplicolor and it looks like ass too. i would pay some one to do it right. i have linex and it has held up great, although it doesnt get much use. i did haul a garden hose and my sons bike this week.

The other benefit now too is you can have Line-X color match with you paint code. I had a buddy do his rockers, and it wasn't 100% match which he wasn't expecting anyway, but he complained about it and they gave him a discount...just something else to think about.

No, he was doing silver, but how are you gonna guarantee a match between a gloss and matte finish is what I want to know.

Another thing about the Herculiner stuff...on the S10's I have seen done, to get it on good it takes more than one kit to do it up good...
