Looking for ideas, I'm about to put the truck in the shop for a few weeks, pulling the engine and rebuilding it, body work and may as well freshen up the rusty looking suspension. Looking to recoat the control arms, torsion bars, cross members, etc...
Should I go dark red?

1-3/4" boras. I'm pulling the engine, rebuilding it and doing a cam swap, also a lot of maintenance stuff

Why not go with the color you painted the valve cover? It would go well with the black.. and take out all of the screws from the pocket flares and either paint them or have them anodized (cant remember if they are alum or stainless) , that color looks close to a dark red anodizing... and maybe paint the grill insert and color match the shell to the body color so it looks all one, Then do all the movable susp parts and sway bar the same color. and any alum parts on your rig, have them anodized the red or black

I think I'll probably end up with red. I'm wondering if I can paint my boras red. Also I have the ugly blue and yellow bilsteins, wondering if those can be repainted also. This is gonna be fun but I'm afraid my truck will be in the shop for a month

anything can be painted with the proper prep, some materials will require different primers to get adheasion... but I see no problems with painting a alum bilstien shock.
Just remember the surface you are painting and research the proper coating for that material and you will be a ok

Stock weeks from a 2014ish ram. So 20x8 rims with 275 wide tires and 33" tall. I have a set of nitto's going on soon. I have some more pics in my build thread of the spacers
