tires holding rocks

I have BF Goodrich Rugged Trail t/a's and they hold rocks in the treads, Does anyone else have the same problem??? I had some Bridgestone Dulers and never noticed them holding rocks....

Well obviously, the wider the tread grooves, the more rocks will get stuck. Not too much you can do about it.

Most tires will hold rocks. The wider the tread the bigger the rock though.

I have the BF all terrains and they are the same, driving down the street and you hear click click click click

They all do it. An aggressive mud terrain tire will not hold the little rocks that we mainly pick up with our ATs or all season tires, but when the MTs do pick up a rock, it sounds like gun shot when it slaps the wheel well.
