I got a stock single din silver bezel from a dealer down in GA and wanted to make my Cobra 19 CB fit in the pocket under the radio.

Length and width wise there was plenty of room. Height was a bit tight.

The bottom lip on the opening covers up the part of the cubbie filled in by the no-slip pad and plastic cubbie itself. Dremel and some patience and the bottom can be worked down flat.

Used the brackets included to hold the CB level and secure in the dash. Cut the bracket in half and attached upside down to the CB

Once the bezel is back on there is a gap on either side (which will be filled once I find the second pocket for the coin cubbie) and it sticks out just enough I can reach all the buttons with out fighting the dash.

Just a temp right now. Waiting on the head-ache rack before I do a permanent mount for sticks.

ahh if you would have put it in 1 1/2 inches or so it would have looked so much better (to me)

I have a portable unit that I use on the fourwheeler/hunting truck that just plugs into the cigarette lighter and has a small cheap antenna...I guess kinda cool to have unless you have a whip antenna

if you take it apart, and make a new face so it would sit in flush

Isn't that what she said :naughty:

No I didn't want it flush though. I set it in w/ the face flush (there is plenty of room in the back) but then the knobs were hard to get a hold of because of the lip under the bezel.

That's how they are supposed to look :D

8 Lug mag trucks have their place ... but the true power isn't just a rating on the dyno ... every day use and productivity given to the owner is the real measurement of a rig ... In MY opinion :D
