02-05 to 06-08 dash swap

Hey guys, I got a 2004 ram sport. I really like the 06-08 dash. Can anyone tell me if it's a direct swap as far as wiring and vents go? Is it basically a direct Bolt in? Thanks

The parts may physically bolt in, Not certain.
As for the electronics, No. They won't just plug in and work.

I know none of the wiring will swap over, all the color coding changed in 06. Seems like a huge amount of work just to change dashboards.

Wasn't just the color coding, they switched from PCI bus to CAN bus in 06.

The physical dash MIGHT bolt in, but like the others have said, the change to Can-Buss in 06 will not allow the wiring to work. Cost will be way out of hand.

Right, I was thinking CANbus came along with all 3rd gens. But you're correct, that was added with the 06 update.

They need to rename "Can-Buss" too Cannot fix it because it is busted. I would rather jump through hops than try to troubleshoot a can-bus system.
