Has anybody ever had the night lights for the three heater knobs go out? All the other lights work just not these. Have to turn the overhead light on to see where the knobs are turned to. Any thoughts?

+1 They are small little white plastic housing with tiny bulbs in them. I had the same issue and just got a few from the "stealership"

I have the same issue. I can't figure out how to get that part of the dash off. I don't want to start prying on stuff and break things.

Changed mine two weeks ago. There are actually only 3 bulbs in the 02-05 set-up. About 3.50 each. On the 03 there is one phillips screw to the right of the center surround piece, after that you pull it off firmly in a One er. The heater control stays attached to the center bezel. The burned ones might break depending on how black they are (the white plastic base of the bulb gets brittle). You unplug the two harnesses or 3 if you have airbag Pass which allows better ability to remove them. 180 degree turn using a small jewelers flat head and thats it. A 5 Minute Job.

Yup, Did mine yesterday. One phillips screw on the right (theres a hanger dohickey thing there) the center bezel came out with a couple of slight pulls. Replaced all 3. They were 2.60 at the dealership.....

Replaced them today in my 2004 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 2WD. Got them at the stealership for $3.20 each. The part number is 5013815AA.

Climate Control Module Lamp Replacement

So thanks to this forum I replaced the climate control console lamps today. It took about 15-20 mins. I looked around and could not really find any pics of what to expect, so I thought that I would share a few photos for those who like to know what they are getting into before they start.

(1) Remove the phillip head screw in the trash bag hook (lower right).
(2) There are ten (10) spring clips holding the bezel to the body and I started by pulling on the bottom portion of the bezel above the cup holder and worked my way around until all clips were free.
(3) Once the bezel was free, I lowered the bezel and disconnected the cigar lighter and aux power cables at their push tab connectors on the bezel.
(4) I lowered the bezel and rested it on the opened cup holder.
(5) There are three (3) lamps visible on the back portion of the climate control control panel. Turn each lamp 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to release lamp. Remove each lamp
(6) Insert new lamps into holes, turn/align until they press in slightly and turn 1/4 turn clockwise to secure.
(7) Test lamps by turning on Parking Lights
(8) Raise bezel and reconnect cigar lighter and aux power cables
(9) Align bezel with dash using alignment pins and A/C ducts
(10) Push back into place and secure with phillips head screw.

I purchased a set of 3 lamps on Amazon for a little less than $5 delivered.

And at least the bulbs can be changed on these...they're soldered in LED's in the LX cars and half of mine crapped out in the Charger...
