Has anyone attempted/seen adding a shoulder belt to the front center seat of a 2007 Dodge RAM 1500. Every once in awhile it would be nice to be able to load all 6 seats with people but the wife gets nervous that the front middle seat doesn't have a shoulder belt for the kids.

Doing some searches hasn't shown any options. Not really seeing an easy tetherpoint?

Anyone attempted something similar?

Seat belts are dangerous. If you put them in the wrong place, you can do more damage. This is why when you do 5 point harness, there are very specific directions on mounting locations. As stated above, in a 4 door, there is no where to mount the belt behind, because it would be directly where the rear passenger would sit. In a single cab, you could do it, but not in a 4 door.

Unless you found a way to put in a custom seat that had the shoulder strap inside. This would be a BIG custom job.

The F150 center seat has the shoulder belt built into it. This would probably be the easiest route. You could possibly have brackets made to install the F150 seat/console.

Interesting, will have the measure the width of the center console to see if it would fit, maybe find one at a yard
