Hey i'm new here my name is andrew. I own a 2002 dodge ram single cab 4.7l 4x4. I believe it is the sport model. I have been having issues with the tachometer for awhile. At a idle the tax reads 200 but after i get moving down the road it seams to work fin till i'm stopped. Has anyone else had this same problem and how to fix it.

My 2006 tach was erratic and then finally it spun around 360 deg. and stayed under the stop peg. Cure; 1.) With vehicle off, push the trip reset button and hold. 2.) without starting, turn the key on. 3.) keep your finger on the trip reset button and watch the magic happen. Your welcome.

Check on UTube, there is a video on how to fix the tach circuit board which will make the tach work correctly.

If the fix does not work for you I have a spare available as I too ran into these issues and since bought one too many in case my buddies truck did the same, but he since sold the truck, so left with an extra.
