Anybody do this on a gen 3 ram? Or know of a write up thread? I can't seem to find any. If I can get a good idea of how its done ill post up my how to here.

No write up, just pictures after the fact. I might do one, I have a console coming and I am going to convert mine.

Without a console the shifter would be really low. Kinda awkward.

It would end up looking like this. I've seen it done using a Hurst kit which goes lower its not so bad also considering 4x4 models have a shifter in the same spot.

I would love to make mine into a floor shifter but with a console to clean it up. I will watch out for this.

That looks good. Has the longer arm. When I think of shifters for automatics I picture the short throw Hursts and B&M's etc...those would be awkward if you do a lot of manual shifting because it would be pretty much the same height as the 4X4 shifter.

Been done. I did a write-up Thread on a Proper B&M Megashifter install with correct Column and Dash Pces from the 05 6 Speed Hemi (2500) and Mods for the cable install on our trans using 2 x new Oem cable brackets since the provided ones are for the Old 727 Chrysler Trans.

Here's mine I pretty much followed Danny's install. But it isn't difficult conversion.
This shows my Park alert switch to sound the ding ding alert if the engine is turned off and the trans not in Park.
It looks low but I reach it without a problem. With my arm on the center console it fits my hand. This is a TCI Fastgate shifter mounted on 3/4" nuts used for spacers.

Correct, I also have a Line Pressure gage mounted on the floor next to the shifter this is where you define the purpose of your truck. I bought my 03 new and don't remember having anyone ever sit in the center. I like to think it hauls a$$, not carry's them. Well maybe with one exception...
Also, when I carry the spare it's in the bed. Lowered street trucks have a few compromises as do any performance oriented vehicles.

Truck still sits six of my gang. Sorry to hear about the cooling problem! I found my 03 to get too hot when I tow so a 180 stat helped alot along with a maxed out black majic efan...lol
