Check the weather stripping, some of the doors cut it on the first few of the 3rd gens, think they changed the seal in late 04.

You need to figure out where the water is coming from before you go replacing parts. It could be coming from your third brake light (very common). The water leaks along the headliner until it finds a spot to come out.

ill unscrew it and see if there is water behind it..maskes sense if it's the brake light area because it's leaking on both sides..

so it started leaking from both sides again today. if it is the 3rd brake light, what should I do? does it actually need to be replaced or can I put something behind it to prevent water from getting through?

are you checking when you see it dripping through? that might be too late. Check while its raining. you should have any behind the 3rd brake light. If you do, some rtv or silicone tape will work. by the time the water gets to the pillars, it might be too late (the source may have already dried up)

it was raining the whole day today and i just checked a few minutes ago when the rain turned into snow...it was dry behind the third brake light and it was also dry on the back of the actual brake light itself...so i must be leaking through both of those seals on the doors......nice, i wonder how much this will cost

I'm a little confused here...am I replacing the actual door sealer or am I taking the sealer off, plugging a couple holes and putting the sealer back on? sounds like i'm just plugging some holes up...i can probably pick this up at a local autoparts store?
