My truck:
2006 1500 SLT
Cloth Seats
Power driver with 1 button

Seats I put into my truck
2004 (??? Dunno what model)
Leather & Heated seats
Power Driver & Passenger 3 button

So my harness under the seat on my 06 is a small square and the harness on the leather seats is a big rectangle. So far I got the power options working for both seats. But now I want to hook up the heated seats but I don't know what wires are what.

What color wires on the 04 seats do I splice into what color wires on my 06 harness??

I know I need the heated seat switches and console panel, I'm not worried about them right now, I need to figure out the wiring first.

***** is this a possibility??? *******

Once I figure out which wires are for the heated seats can I just install a universal low-off-high switch, run the heated seat wires to the switch and power the switch by splicing into the power seats main power wire?

Basically I was thinking of getting Universal heated seat switches off ebay, and mounting them into the plastic on the side of the seats near the 3 power buttons. Can I just run the low and high heat wires to the switch and power it from the power seat Red wire?

Of anyone can tell me which color wires are which or if I can just put in Universal switches and run the wires to the switch and power it from the seats power wire I would really like some help.

Thanks in advance and of course Rep will be given for helpful answers!!

P.S. I included some pictures of the seats wiring. I had to cut off the seats harness plug to hook up the power movements, so as of now, the remaining wires should just be the heated seats... correct?

Unless by chance someone knows and answers, I think you'll have to find the Ram Body Builder PDF for each year to determine the colors/functions. I believe someone recently had a '04-related wiring question and I tried to find the Body Builder for 2004 and nothing older than 2005 was listed on FCA's website. I defer to someone like Justin to say whether that's too much load to connect heater wires to one of the seat power wires.
