Can someone please take a few pictures of their switch and how it mounts in the black surrounding piece for me? Thank you in advance! I am trying to mount mine in another place so I can keep the long cubby that replaces that switch. (PO did a bunch of stupid stuff)

It's raining now or I'd pull my dash, you have to pull the entire radio and HVAC bezel out to access it. It's just snapped into that wide black plate, there are 4 screws holding that plate on.

How do you even pull the dash in that area? I got a bulb out behind my air controls and it's driving me nuts.

There are 2 Philips head screws in the bottom of the bezel above the cup holder about an inch from the corners.

Put the shifter all the way down in 1st and set the e-brake.

Then just grab inside the inside of the A/C vents and use thumbs to press against the dash for leverage and pull the bezel out. The metal clips that hold it in are pretty stout so done be afraid to put some ass into it and it'll come right out.

Here are the 4 crews to remove to pull the panel, it's easier to disconnect everything and set the bezel on a table so you don't stress your harness.

The switches are just clipped into the socket, you'll need a couple flat head screw drivers. You stick one in the top and hold it there to release the clip and while holding that, stick one in the bottom to release that clip. They're a PITA so profanity will likely be needed to get this job done. After you're done just repeat in reverse.
