I like the idea of the insulation. And adding sound defining inside the for because mine take a lot.

I added fat mat behind my doors when I did the speakers. Def helped w some added sound can't say for the ac portion since I barely drive it. But I think if u took the seats and carpet out and did the bottom u would prob notice more than just doors alone. I noticed the floor gets quite warm when I drove it home from the beach one day with no shoes on. So if I ever have a spare day I would prob tear the interior down and do the floor since I have a lot left

If it's getting hard to cool it in the summer then I'd have your A/C system serviced but if you live where it's really hot then getting some sound deadener/thermal barrier on the roof skin would help the most. I use SecondSkin products and they have 3 different options for thermal barriers but anything you can get to stick reliably to the rood skin will go a long way in reducing cab heat. Doing the door panels will also help but most of your heat transfer is through the glass so getting windows tinted will make a huge difference, assuming you won't get pulled over every 10 miles for having window tint in your area.

Thanks for the responses. Have either of you guys put anything on the floor? I looked at the second skin Heat Wave Pro and it is 3/8 of an inch thick which seems like it might change the way the floor covering fits.

I've got a full covering of the CCF/MLV on the floors over a 75% CLD coverage. My carpet had some difficulty laying flat but after a few weeks it smoothed into the new position. The only real issue I had was under the rear seats with my MLV and spacers lifting the seat a bit too high.
