subs under the seats

so, been thinking about upgrading the system in my truck.... or been thinking about thinking about it lol. wanna put subs in, not use to not having some thump, but having a single cab, not a whole lot of room. thoughts of subs under the seats have been dancing in my head. seeing as how oklahemi seemed to be impressed with the kicker plant he went to last month, had these in mind. Might could work just would have to remove the spare tools under the pass side and should be kinda open under the drivers side unless you have a powered seat. Have you thought of putting them behind the seats in the tray?

yeah i have, didn't want to lose the tray. the stuff under the pass. seat is in the tool box lol. and i do have power seats, but still looks like a decent amount of room. just have to figure out dimensions....

12's are one cubic ft min for sealed, but two 12's might be just a tad too much lol

How much stuff do you have behind your seats? I have 2 10s in sep boxes, 1 behind each seat with the sub under the drivers seat and still have a bunch of stuff behind the seats.

lol, well i have a tendency to just throw **** back there and not think about it. and with my daughter, it's were i stick her stuff when i get her. i dunno, just curious if it would work with shallow mounts

Its possible... the box would be the trick I assume... the amp could go in the spot between the center seat and tray. If they changed the motor for the drivers seat you will prob be good.

I can get you some tomorrow bud, mine is nothing fancy just 2 MTX 10s being pushed by a Kenwood amp. The subs are in shallow boxes for cars and just sit in the tray... the wires are ran under the tray and have 2 small holes for em. That way I can pull them if ever needed in a min and just pull the power to the amp.

Can't wait to see what you do. I've been thinking about 12s behind each seat and a 10 behind the console but wasn't sure if it would work and would love to see other options

I'm also looking at Kicker. I have to admit, I don't know the first thing about audio. I am thinking 2 10's (I like the square subs) under the seats, fiber glasses painted in inferno red. Mount the sub behind the rear seats. Make a custom fiber glass center console. Glass in two screens, and 4 10" subs, and paint it as well.
