I meant to just throw a charger on a non worked 4.7 would be catastrophic, no?

I'm no supercharger or 4.7 expert, but I had the same question a while back. After a few Google searches I came across Boosted Tech and their low boost supercharger kits for Jeeps and the Ram 4.7. They certainly aren't cheap, so I doubt I'll ever get one for my 4.7 to find out whether it really works or just puts me in the market for a new motor.

Maybe, maybe not. I recall in the late 80s, several companies putting out small-low boost super chargers for the 80's V8s. I remember reading about them in the car mags. They'd give about a 30-40% increase in power on an otherwise stock motor. Usually around 5-6lbs boost. Those 80s engines weren't built particularly well.
