Hello! My '07 1500 4.7 went into limp mode the other day (no overdrive and not using 1st gear at all) and shortly after the engine light came on. The auto parts store told me it threw a P0750 code for the shift solenoid A. After doing some research, I read that changing out the kickdown solenoid aka the solenoid pack on the other side of the valve body would fix the issue.
I replaced the solenoid pack and put everything back together. Now the transmission will not shift into any gear. I can put it in park but any other gear does nothing. I am wondering if the new kickdown solenoid is defective. I made sure I put everything back where it was. Also, I'm not a mechanic and should have probably took it to a shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
