I have a 2003 1500 with a 4.7 that does not blow hot air. I have flushed the radiator, flushed the heater core, changed the thermostat, and still no heat. Any ideas?

Does the heater core get hot once the engine reached operating temperature?

I don't know without taking apart the dash, but the heater core supply lines are allows hot, which makes me assume the heater core is hot. I back flushed the heater core and got a palm full of sand and grit, but it didn't fix the problem.

Sounds as if your core may have a partial blockage

If you flushed the heater core and it flowed fine, and both heater hoses are hot, then chances are the heater core is ok. You could have air in the system and it also could be a blend door issue.

If you follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block (front driver side) there is a hex plug. Open that slowly, as the air settles there. If you can park on a steep hill (head up) it will help. I had to do this several times.

Do this with the engine COLD, and OFF. Just do it a few times.
