Gents,
First post here and I'm looking forward to contributing to the site.
I have had a transmission noise for the past year that began as a squealing noise (like a serpentine belt) only on cold starts, and only in cold weather. It will change in pitch and intensity when the clutch is pressed or released, but never really goes away until the truck is well warmed up.
I suspect a pilot bushing or throw out bearing issue, but the fact that it only changes, not stops with clutch pedal movement leads me to believe it may be an input shaft bearing, or maybe seal? I haven't found any info on similar problems anywhere, and I'm hoping one of the experts on this site may have an idea. Linked video below. Thanks! PC
