I would like to compare my values and see if I am in the ballpark or way off.

I understand that driving habits are a huge influencer of this sort of data, but am still curious of what other are getting in regards to fuel consumption.

Right now I am averaging a combined City/Highway 10.5 MPG or 22.5L/100km.

From what I have observed so far looks like I would be doing 9 MPG city and 12 MPG Highway.

I have 3.92:1 front and rear Axles and run on 265 70R 17 Standard GoodYear titres.
Truck revs at 1800~1900 rpm at 60 MPH.
(I am aware of the hack for the TCM to modify the 45RFE to a 545RFE)

Let me know, as I am curious.

Must be the long box and driving habits thats killing your mpg, assuming everything is mechanicly top notch.

I have not had the truck for very long and since it is a high millage vehicle I try and stay smooth with it which is why I feel this is not good millage...

The 4.7L does feel weak and was a little on the dirty side when I remove the oil pan last week to get it replace.

I'm thinking a donor truck with a rotten body and a good 5.7L could be an idea for a swap and maybe gain both HP and MPG...

BTW the truck weights on the higher end of 6800lbs... not quite a light truck... ;)

I'm getting 17.5L per 100kms. That's with 35" tires on my 2013 4.7 95% city.

I have a 4.7 in the same year truck. I average around 14.5 MPG on the freeway at 75.I can get up to 17-18 if I am at 65. Around town it's usually around 11 MPG.

Mine weighs in just shy of 6k, it's a QC short box, 3.90 gears, 20" wheels with 275/60 on them currently. I had 325/60's on it for a year or so and the economy really took a dive during that time.

Mine is relatively strong running, even before I put the supercharger on. I have just at 171k on it now and it had 68k when I bought it. It has always been about the same economy except for when the larger tires were on it.

I got ~10mpg city on my last tank in my '02 4x4 w/ 3.55s, 265/70R17, 165k, and 1,000lbs in the bed.

Recently broke my right ankle, and the wife's been driving. I'd be surprised if she could manage 4mpg...

Needless to say, I've learned to drive with my left foot now.

With little to no highway miles I get about 13 mpg. Over the summer I did 95% highway (including stop and go traffic) and I was getting about 19 mpg.

WalterG kind of hinted me on something regarding the tires. I more closely looked at my tires and found out they are 32" 275/70/17...

N1ck is getting good MPGs with 35" but he has a 2013...

As I was looking for Winter tires, I also decided I would look for some 3 season wheels of the right size and see if it made a difference.

Since the truck has very high millage, it have to work much harder to get going, especially since it's the heavier configuration, with larger tires.

Stay tuned for results with proper sized tires soon.

If your truck weighs 6800 lbs, you need to get the extra 800lb plus of **** out of it lol

But my 04 5.7 that weighs about 4700 gets prob 10-11 city with my mods an fairly heavy foot.

I would have to get it properly weighted. On the truck's registration I have 2346Kg which is short of 5200lbs. 6800 pounds is written on the driver side door jam... I might be messing up the numbers here.

We have a municipal trash dump with a weight station just a few blocks away, I will stop by in the next few days and get a real life weight measurement with a full tank and me in truck.

Sounds like you're looking at the GVWR which is the total allowable weight of your vehicle fully loaded.

Found myself a set of proper size tires I'll get installed on the truck tomorrow.
Looking forward to see if it will make a significant difference.

Hi. I don't know about miles about gallon or litres per 100 km. But my truck costs about 110$ to fill. In the city that'll get me 400 km. On the hiway I have hit 550 km. I think its a pig on gas.

I'm about par with you in the summer, winter is worse.
