5.7 Hemi engine rpm's varying at idle

98k rod knock so i replaced the engine with a wrecking yard 80k. After install the rpm's wobble or increase and decrease...Pushing the pedal to full throttle I only get about 3500 rpm...I know I need to check codes but any other advice would be greatly apprreciated...

There is a RPM limiter, set in the programing, to prevent over reving the engine in park, or neutral, to prevent engine damage. It is set around 3,500 RPM, so the engine should not exceed that RPM.
