Also wondering how its running. You running the stock PCM or a file? Your more displacement with more lift on the cam but being the 6.1 cam is either 115 or 117 LSA depending on what you took the 6.1 out of it should run it after learning alill.

It's running good on the stock tune. I did use the 5.7 injectors and throttle body so the EEC won't get to confused. I plan on trying the SRT8 throttle body but the one I have was damaged in shipping of the engine.

Do you have access to a sniffer to make sure the 5.7 injectors are not starving the motor for fuel on the topend? They are alill smaller for sure, I swapped out my 5.7 ones for 6.1 injectors when I went to the new head/cam setup.

Did you need to change the tune to use the injectors?

I have a Dyno tune for the truck with a DSP. If a stock 5.7 were going to run 6.1 injectors you take a chance of washing the cyclinders. The 6.1 is 25 more CI then the 5.7 hence the more fuel. You might be ok, just not sure if it will start to starve for fuel on the topend is why I asked about getting it sniffed.

I spun a bearing on my 5.7 and when I was looking In The junk yard I found a 2006 charger with the 6.1. I picked up the engine for only $800 with only 20000miles on it. He had no idea what it was worth!

You STOLE that motor. Hell since they no longer produce the 6.1 the cores on the block alone are around $1k-$1,500, the heads are $500.

Well done. Wide band should tell you where you are at. AeroForce Interceptor gage would show trim figures. I use a 05 fuel pump upping the pressure from 48psi to 58psi, that might be all you need to compensate.

Which engines sensors did you use? I assume the Rams since that's what signals the pcm will be reading? And is it still running good so far?

Stuff to think about would be the 04+ fuel pump regulated to 58psi instead of the 03's 48psi. Now my question would be are the 03 injectors larger than the 04+ 5.7 injectors since the fuel pump pressure is lower? Or does the 03 PCM compensate for the lower fuel pressure, which would then mean there is a lot of adjustability in both fuel flow and PCM tune ability. Just thinking out loud... Good job on the install..

Sorry it been some time since the swap.
I have 7000 miles on the new motor and have had no problems. I ran the stock injectors and Throttle body from the Ram with no problems and it pulls hard.
The hard part was making the relocation brackets for the AC and Altonator
I used the truck timing cover and ground the top down to make some room for the intake. But I also had to make spacers to lift the intake 1in.
I used pacesetter shorty headers and ground the ports to mach the 6.1 heads.
I had to make a y pipe and move the cat 14in back.
If I had to do it again I would not use them. Lots of work to make them fit.
In the spring I'm going to try some 6.1 jeep headers and make a new y pipe.
I also used all of the stock sensors for the truck and the belt is from a 98 v8 with the ac delate .
I have not had it on the Dyno but did race a 2011 mustang 5.0 and got him by 3 car lengths :) with the stock tune.
On important note is to make sure the 6.1 you have has no clutch bearing in the back of the crank !!! It took me 2 day to figure out why the engine would not mate to the Trans!!

Dude, that's crazy awesome info. Still have a hard time believing, (no discredit to u, mopars pcms kinda suck), that it all works with stock computer. An 03 no doubt!!! Now I GOTTA find a 6.1 bare block to complete my setup!
