I keep breaking my rear exhaust manifold studs. My theory is that engine is flexing and the exhaust system is not. So would it be a good idea to put a piece of flex pipe in?

We use them in boosted applications all the time. There are two styles of flex joints, for exhaust you want the ones with the inner flex rings, not the inner weave; the woven ones I've seen collapse which drastically changes the exhaust diameter. Look for ones labeled "lined"
