Another gear question

OK, new gears are in. How long do I wait before I change the gear oil? Does it have to be done at a few hundred miles?

Butch I love them. I have regained a lot of low end power, and my mpg's have gone up a lot! I would say about doubled. To and from ATN's I was getting upper 20's to low 30's, and city was about 17-18.

Yea that was my question...just wasn't sure how many miles that would be roughly.

your trip computer has a virus. do a hand calc - there is no way you got that high.

I would believe it if I heard more and more people with 4.56s say that, but there are 2wd trucks on 31s here with 4.56s that don't come close to 25, let alone 31.

That was also with my programmer set to use the Mileage XS program, and with the crusie control on, running 93 octane, and had just done a Sea Foam treatment on Thursday.

On another note...post # 4,444! lol! Might have to play that.

Some of the trucks have to instant fuel economy on the display, we always called it the dumb vac gauge because you would get 50 mpg when your coasting down the road.
