I received my ATI 6" 25% UD super damper today. Cant wait to get it installed. I am assuming i will lose a little on each belt driven component, but i think i will upgrade from my 132 amp to the 160 amp alt to make up for the loss if needed.

I think you are going to get a little more than you bargained for with steering effort and AC performance. PS pressure at idle is going to be reduced, causing more steering effort. AC performance while sitting still at idle is going to downright suck since these trucks already dont have the best AC system in the world. And of course reduced alternator output and reduced cooling system flow rate. 25% UD means each pulley will receive 25% less drive at a given RPM. Once you get off idle all will be fine, but parking lot maneuvers and stop and go traffic is gonna puff peter for ***.

Seems like a good ideal but I'll wait to see what your thoughts are after a week or so

Yea these were all concerns I had but only one way to find out. Redtruck Va is running a 20% UD and he said he doesn't have any issues.

Yeah he's also turning a 28" tire in a regular cab 2wd truck. You're in a QC that looks 4x4, with significantly larger tires.

Only one way to find out though.

Not exactly. Only if you put one on Every pulley. You can add one to the alternator and maybe the steering. Not available for ac.

Well i got it installed and so far all is good. At idle im still charging at 14.56, when i turn on any lights, e-fan, or other accessories it drops down to about 13.85 for about a second and then right back up to 14+. I have yet to drive it but after a few days i will give another update. And yes i know my engine is dirty, and i used to have a front seal leak but i fixed it a while back but i never cleaned the timing cover. Lol.

Day one update: pros- engine running smoother, wraps up a little faster, a little more power(not anything super noticeable). Cons- driving this morning with lights on, e-fan, running, and turn signals. While driving at a steady speed voltage was good but engine temp went up about 5℉ (which caused the fan to run more), when stopped with turn signals on voltage drops, but power steering seems fine. After work no lights on and everything was just like before it was installed until I got off the interstate. Is it worth it idk yet, but I may buy a larger alt or go ahead and get a different belt and use the alt pulley.
