I know some of us have them but has anyone really dived in to the tuning aspect with it yet? I have messed with mine to get the WOT AFR right, get rid of some KR and adjust the part throttle/WOT shifts to suit my needs, but I want to work out another shift schedule and work out another little bug but I need some input.

I am using someone on another forum with very good results. He gave me much better throttle response and midrange power compared to DSP's 93 performance tune.

Also, did you update to the newest crom 9r08. I has some other options that CMR tuners can take advantage of. All of the performance tune have (PCM) beside them, and it asked if you want Diablo performance TCM tune. I did not notice any difference in this compared to what they had before, but CMR tuners can now make a custom TCM tune. I think this is only for 05-up rams but I am not sure.

Truckin, That seems to be a problem I see on the Diablo forum a lot. I was sent CROM 9r08a by MikeL at Diablo in an attempt to reset my ABS light. I went back to 9r04 as the 9r08a didn't do anything for my 03. Let me know if you want me to email it to you.

nah I got the 04-08croms all saved on my laptop. Haven't loaded the 9r08 yet though. from what i have read the 9r07 had some part throttle KR in some of the newer rams and some of the cars as well and the 08 was supposedly going to fix it. So I'll give that one a shot and see how the truck likes it.

This is going to sound odd but the truck felt REALLY good on the 9r06 crom WITHOUT the trans tuning, felt like it ran so much better but I just cant stand the stock WOT shift points. So if the 9r08 doesn't feel right I'll set it back to the 06 and call it good for the summmer or until I get the cam in, cause I can have the trans custom tuned at the same time and have some real fun then

MikeL said all the CROMs have the same tune when I asked which CRom would best suit my 03. This doesn't make sense to me, as do most of the answers that are posted on their forum

RTVA - I will send you a copy when I get home. IMO the engine tune is the best on that CROM, only down side was the no trans tunng that acompanied it, for whatever reason the CROM would allow the DSP to reconise the TCM for the 05's and some 06's

Thanks, Got it and installed. Ran my best time yet. 0-60 mph 5.67. Still have some KR, how much fuel have you added in?

Thanks again,

Talked with a custom Diablo tuner about a tune for my 03 and he told me he could NOT adjust the rev limiter or speed restricter. WTF? Tried to talk to anyone at Diablo is a waste of time, so called another tuner and he said he would research the 03 and get back to me. What this is really telling me is no one has tuned a 03 at the shops I called. As for price, both said they work by the hour and the tune should be between $250 - $500. This is for a shop to learn how to tune a 03 on my dime. ****'in wonderful.....

For the '03, I've not seen any rev/speed limiter tables in the cmr software. Least with the 2 pcm codes I've dealt with. No idle control either.

As for the part throttle KR, oftentimes thats in high gear and low rpm running part throttle. Even 1/4 throttle and slightly going up an incline the vacuum gets really close to 0. That's when you'll usually see a little kr. That requires a custom tune to get in to that area of the table to correct. Anything you can do to reduce engine load will help. 180 tstat, efan, etc

Hey still working on getting the parts in and then I'll be giving you a call for a tune. Switching from the latest CROM to the 9r06 CROM reduced the part throttle KR though by almost half.
