Vararam or Twin filter CAI users enter

As the title says . Im wondering if dust and moisture get past the cones ?which i dont mind replacing to something better K&N etc. I want to add a second battery under the hood for my audio system and this seems to be my only option to do so.. If these are a ****** idea speak up please..lol Thanks guys

I tried it on my 4.7 and it was crap lol. It sounded mean as hell though, I sold it locally for what I paid for it so I came out ok.

Hemi450hp made an interesting intake, he bought the dual filter Intake and two ebay fender wall intakes and put it all together. Looked badass but he said it did perform that well.

It dosent look like i could get a battery in that corner with the intake you posted...Guess i could try to get creative though....Why was it crap ? I do get the saying you get what you pay for, just curious though..

The filters are sitting on top of the engine and you're just pulling in hot air.

Right off of both manifolds instead of just one. But if the reason for the intake is for a sound system and not engine performance it might be just fine.

Yeah, I dont really want the battery under the rear seats,My amps have to go there, if they wont fit on the rear wall. so as long as that intake dosent cause harm to my engine i would ideally like to go with something like that. I looked at those Ram Air intakes the sexy ones that sit ontop of the engine but read that dust gets by.

Gotta say... that's the first I've heard of that.

I plan on getting the Vararam actually.

hope some other guy can chime in on this. This is the intake i really wanted. so it looks like the vararam air grabber that i keep reading about, not sure if it is a issue with the under glass or a general problem with all of them.there was also a sealing issue i read about ...

i live near buffalo so if there are any issues with snow i need to know.lol

anyone with experience please chime in here..

How do you like the dual Harley? It looks nice. I know you only know it with that, unless you changed it. I've been thinking about piecing a dual together. I wish you could just but the dual pipe, I'd rather buy the rest of the stuff myself.
