Post up a pice of the engine bay where the pipes would pass by. The BBK's stick out farther but they should work. Post up a pic before you order please.

Aren't the BBK shorties a direct bolt on replacement for the stock manifolds? If there are no clearance issues with the stock manifolds, why would there be any issues with a product that is designed as direct bolt on replacement?

The problem we are having is that BBK technically lists these as only fitting the 2wd models. Having said that, we have numerous customers running them on the 3rd gen 4wd trucks, but they are all stock height 4wd's as far as I know. I just hate for you to get half way into the install only to find that a piece of the lift interferes or affects fitment of the headers. That could lead to a frustrating day if you have to throw it all back together. BBK is no help here either because they still think that they only fit the 2wd...haha.

They stick out farther then the stock logs also. The only "shortie" headers that is OEM in size is the Gibson super logs which have never gotten a good review. A guy on here put them on his lifted truck and from memory the quality was junk.

I would try if you wanted just shorties. Me on the other hand would go ahead and spend a few more $ and do longtubes. I know they will fit with the off road Y but not sure what budget your trying to stay in.

I have an 08 1500 5.7 4x4 with stock ride height and i put the BBK's on my truck and they fit. i had to drop the Y pipe with the cats to get them to fit in. and putting the Stage 8 bolts and clips on was a pain in the ass, but all in all i think it was worth it. more noticeable power.

I know its just stock ride height so this won't help you that much, but i think you should at least buy and try them if you have the money. I am really happy with mine. deffinately noticed a difference. (I have a borla exhaust, K&N cold air intake, Bully dog, and a 87mm ported TB, the truck really gets up and moves now and its all just bolt on added power)

Finished!

All done clearances are good bolted on no problem
I had one bolt I had to drill out no problem with that
Little tricky getting to a few bolts but some flex head ratcheting end wrenches helped immensely
