My check engine light came today and i did the key trick and nothing came up for codes, does that mean there was a fault somewhere and it kind of fixed its self or whatever and now the light is just on with no codes. Happened a few weeks ago aswell i got a code for a egr calve but then went to check it again and no codes came up so i didnt replace the egr valve and truck runs fine. Would a code scanner give a more accurate reading than the key trick?
