Should be some type of gains as long as you aren't sucking in hot engine bay air. Hot air will negate any positives and may actually be worse than a stock airbox with a K&N or similar hi flow drop in. Just my experience any way. If you can block it off to pull cold air from the front or wheelwell, as Harold did, it should most definately be better than a stock box. Good luck!

Not sure that I would waste time with the TB spacer, but please let me know how you like the UD pulley when you get it put on. I have been eyeballing a 20% UD that is supposed to be awesome, but no real world feedback yet. Thanks!

I didn't know either

u/d....

Thank you for all of the great information about CAI. It is next on my list (after new tires). I'll probably go with the same that Harley Harrold has.

The willingness to share helpful information here is fantastic.

Anybody have issues with their MAP sensor after installing cold air intakes?

Installing a CAI should not cause any issues with the MAP sensor. I'm a little surprised the subject IAT sensor hasn't been explored since CAI is about providing cooler air. I'll give a clue, Power Wire.... If the inlet air isn't as cool as you think is optimum, then consider what a Power Wire might do for you. ;)

I have used WAI (warm air intake) & a CAI (Cold air intake) on several diff vehicles.
the CAI will give more power, but the WAI will give more MPG (and I don't mean stupid hot).

I'd suggest injen power flow intake. I noticed a difference not so much in gas cause my foots always in the throttle lol intake looks great and sounds amazing at wot!

Plastic absorbs heat better than aluminum, or metal. You want to keep the intake charge as cool as possible.
