Anyone successfully pull off a comp 112-502-11 cam swap? If so is it daily driver compatible?

Is that the comp 260, 268 or 273 cam?

From what I recall, the 273 is primarily a "top end" cam. You would need a pretty high torque converter to make up for the low end. Comp Cam 268 is what I run and I must say, I'm running some very impressive times with it. 12.4 on motor and 11.5 on nitrous.

If you hit up Jay Greene about this cam, I'm sure he can tell you why it's not that great of an option and he would be able to suggest an alternate cam for you. Shoot him a message on his FB page

The 273 does not do well in the trucks unless you're planning a drag only truck with a super high stall converter. One big issue is the pcm doesn't let you build rpm and load up the converter before launch without pulling timing. If you want a daily driver then don't go any higher than the 268 if you want an off the shelf cam.

The 260 can be run with the 91 tune on a superchips right? Meaning, you don't necessarily have to get custom running.

Yes, I believe there have been some folks successfully run the 260 without a custom tune and just a canned tune.

Mines just on a canned tune. Maybe one day I'll stop ******* off an put a big stick in the truck an get it tuned.
