Coolant System Question

2006 Dodge Ram 4.7

I bought this truck about a month ago. Got under the hood and noticed that the back hose on the resevoir that should go back to the radiator is capped off and cut short. Can someone show me a picture or diagram of where this hose should go?

I think you should wonder why? I would take a look at your oil. That's a trick I know in the diesel world when trying to hide blown head gaskets.
