Hey Guys, Been real Busy! Interesting Discussion. Bottum line is my plan was to eventually try a custom tune using Diablo (2011) but in the mean time my 0172 code IMO is Minor. I have had it before and it was due to a pinhole leak at the Cat Fwd where my Y-pipe was welded in (rewelded and it went away). This time I retightened my header collecter bolts and the code has stayed away for two days while driving in Granny Mode (Quote from Froggy). Anyhow I am waiting on My CAI and Ported TB to come in and have also ordered a new 02 sensor (FWD) and an 02 **** from Moes (usually used at the rear) but is proven to work well on the 03's so I have some different options to try as the A/F ratio is something i will study later when i purchase the required equipement to record the data necessary to allow me to do a custom tune via email with one of the Tuners (TBC).

Thanks for the opinions and discussions Guys! It's gettin hard to keep up with all the posts on here lately as wow we have grown into a Busy but still max relaxed Forum.

i have two more overtime shifts next week at time and 3/4 so that will help me stay on schedule to get my gears done before Xmas! Then wheel be Cookin!

Later Danny.

Tried to upload to my PB but it failed. Maybe file is to big 69 MB and 45 Sec long.
Will try again here but dunno. (Good see next thread)

Truck is running great Guys. Cleared the code I had, did a batterry cables disconnect and then touch together (10 sec) PCM reset and then fired it up and let it idle for 10 minutes, drove it like Granny (frog quote) for about 5 miles and then did a couple 0-100 MPH runs on the highway, Hoo Hoo Ya, I like it especially since my CAI arrived tonight and I installed it first.

It was dark out (AEM Brute force CAI)

Ported Throttle Body is ordered and a new 02 sensor and ****. Gears are next Guys.
Also redid the front brakes, so no more shakin there. I got a Canadian Tire Gift Card from the small crowd of Soldiers I served with as Unit RSM upon retirement and that paid for what you see in the pics.

The Sound still sucks guys but here ya go anyways. PS the smoke is not burning Oil. Truck is cold and its about a breezy 48 USA Degrees out. Supposed to warm up to 64 Tommorrow!

BTW: this was earlier today before PCM reset and CAI install. Will try and do another after the engine has been warmed.

sounds choppy. is that camera or does it actually surge like that? do the rpms bounce at all?

Yep a slight chop/surge at idle but the needle is pretty steady. In the video it is cold and runnin a bit higher at bout 700.

For two days the P0172 code stayed away but as soon as I let her have it through all the gears the light came on. until custom tuning I will try a new sensor in the front, then a ****. i also am gonna have the muffler shop saws-all the pipe at the rear of the cat to get rid of that imfamous 03 ugly choke/crimp weld and weld a new piece OVER the existing exit hole Dia. coming out the cat rear to flow it up a bit and also have been contemplating getting a high flow cat and a second ****, we'll see!

Anyhow I like the results and IMO it sounds even better with the CAI, and will try another video with it fully warm and at 600 RPM, hopefully my daughters equipement is better than my PHONE Camera!.

Have you taken it out and put it through its paces yet?

Yep, Sorta, a few rolling starts and then punch it WOT until its done upshifts approx 100MPH, but thats it so far haven't shifted manually or tried any datalog. but think this weekend I might do that. I am content on waiting for my new gears and LSD and then I'll let er rip for sure.

Overall Pleased Guys.

Well got the 6.59 with old Cam and no TQ, but with the TQ my right tire smokes so really didn't see an improvement in Datalog but that proved I gained Torque with that Mod. If I can get a decend 4wd launch with the Spartan I could prolly beat that, but like I said with the LSD and 4.56's I will not be surprised to drop into the 5's somewhere as i think that is do-able (my tires are 32'ish right now)

you Guys tol me long time ago that the 3:55's are killin me, however on the highway she flies over 70 MPH.

you're gonna have more top end with 3.55's (better acceleration above 70 also). the 4.56's are already spinning pretty quick. its more than made up for from 0-70 though

Thats what I meant bout the 3:55's. It is hard to realize what feeling the 4;56's will give but if it pins me in the seat or snaps the wifes neck then I'll be happy!

So yeah 0-70 good then I can slow down after that!
