So how many of you are running electric fans for cooling? Which fan are you running and how did you configure it?

I am running a Taurus fan with a controller on low speed and a bypass switch for the high speed.

I'm running the Flex-a-lite BM Extreme 180 E-Fan. I also have a JP 180* T-Stat so my fan is set to come on about the same time as the Stat opens.

I bought mine from Moe's (flexolite) I have the temp set for 195. This setup only has my fan running when I standing in traffic. Actually the fan very seldom comes on. Highly recommend.
Forgot: I also am using a 180 stat. I think the thermostat is also a good mod. Good luck..

Taurus e-fan for the last couple years with a flex a lite variable speed adjustable controller. I like the variable speed controller bc it allows me some adjustability of when the fan goes on as seasons and temps change.

I have the one I did for DF a while ago. You want it to add to the DIY?

I ran both a markviii fan and a viper fan. Both were solid and reliable. In fact, I have an adjustable thermostat that I am going to put in the classifieds tonight.

Thnk he is going for a stock appaerance under the hood. I have thought about an efan alot because it makes it easier to access the front of the motor but my only worry is that if it breaks and im out in BFE and dont know its no longer working I will overheat.

if you have a tool box in your bed you could keep your stock fan in there for backup or steal your condenser fan and fab it up to the radiator real quick for the limp back to civilization... of course im assuming everyone carrys tools and stuff with them all the time as i do
