First time posting, I have an 06 2500 with the 5.7 which I have an intake and exhaust. My problem is when I go to floor it, randomly it throws the check engine light and flashes and beeps for a sec then when it does i let off and it will stop. I have no idea why, the trucks got 135 thousand miles so I'm leaning towards replacing spark plugs. Any suggestions?

What does your oil PSI do when you do that? When the light is flashing something is very very unhappy.

See if any codes are stored even though the light is currently off. When was the last tune up done? Does it drop power when this happens?

I'm going to plug it in after work and we'll see what's going on. I bought the truck 3 months ago so have no idea when the last tune up was( if its ever had one period ) but I have 16 Ngk iridium spark plugs coming tommarow so hopefully that helps. I know when I first got the truck I ended have to replace the tranny solonoid and valve plate, and when the code came back for that it also came back with a cylinder 2 misfire, so that what I'm leaning towards.

#2 could be a coil lead or the coil itself breaking down at high RPM. If it points to that one again yank a plug and see what it looks like and swap #2 with #1 coil to see if it fallows it before you dump money in a new coil. Its not as common but a faulty or going out injector can also throw that code.

Did you swap the coil to confirm the coil is good?

My truck is doing the same thing right now, turns out it's misfiring on cylinder #4 but only when the engine is under load. After switching coil packs and getting the same result I did a compression test which showed low compression on that cylinder.
