What flowmaster muffler or exhaust system do you have and what changes did you see after install. Like Power, MPG, Throttle Response, Etc.

I've got a 50 series sitting here next to me waiting to be installed, had 40 series before on previous vehicles, IMO you can't beat the sound from a flowmaster

Why do you want to go to the 50 and what kind of gains did you see with the 40.

I have a 40. The only real difference I can tell is the loud as hell thing. Maybe a bit more throttle response.

You arent going to feel a noticable power difference from a muffler alone...especially not a chambered muffler like Flowmaster. While they do sound good, they are near the bottom of my list when it comes to performance.

I went with a 50 because its the only direct fit flowmaster for my 2012, I didn't get any gain from the 40, just an awesome sound, don't expect to get much from any muffler, I'm sure there is some gain but you won't notice it.

Matt put it well, flow masters sound great, but don't perform. If you want good performance you might want to look into straight mufflers such as magnaflow or some borla mufflers. I'm probably going to switch to a 14" magnaflow sometime in the future.

Even then, I doubt you will feel a difference in mpg or performance. I agree that the flowmasters aren't as free flowing as magnaflows but I'm a sucker for the flowmaster sound

I had flow master 40 si/do ran all the way out the back I didn't notice any gains at all just sound but after a while I got use to the sound and it wasn't aggresive enough for me so I put on an aero turbine 3030xl and dumped it right where the bed starts it's a stainless muffler similar to the magnaflow still didn't notice any performance gain but it sounds great I get compliments all the time

Delta flow 40 series SI/DO for first setup, no gain but sound. Full Boar which is the same as the 10 series on now, no gain but sound again.

I've got the 10 series on mine 3" si/so with a 3"y pipe and duals that are also 3" it's quiet at idle but nice loud roar ..... Then at wot and about 5500-6000 rpm's it sounds like a jet taking off lol

I have never had a Flowmaster always liked Magnaflow. Seems from what I read Flowmasters rust out much easier.

I replaced my stock muffler with a flowmaster super 40. I love the sound but did not notice any difference in mpg, or power etc. Just a great sound and a good amount of cab drone which I actually enjoy haha
I am looking to do true duals after I put on new headers and because of the controversey of true duals having too much flow and not having enough back pressure i was thinking of putting super 40's because they are restrictive. I will like to put 2.5 in piping instead of the 3in stock. to also help with the back pressure and still have good flow. Not really sure about that set up hopefully someone can chime in about that.

But I really love the sound of flowmaster

P.S just be carefull because when I put mine on I noticed my foot getting a little bit more heavy

Has anyone run both a flowmaster 40 and an AT3030

What were they like in comparison?

I've got a 14" magnaflow SI/SO right now an it's pretty quiet for my taste .

I'm running a Full Boar single chamber which is identical to the Flowmaster 10 series but half the price, it's loud as hell with a real purty sound but if interior resonance annoys you then you might wanna avoid it.
