Hello all, as of now my check engine light is on due to o2 sensors issue. I was told that it could be the sensors them selves, plugged cat or as simple as a leaky gasket on exhaust. So my question is what are the pluses and minus of removing the converter, such as smell or power increase, etc. Also what would you do with the O2 sensors. Here in the real near future I will be installing headers, if I can find some info on them also (such as brand, short or long tubes). So I will probably redo whole exhaust system. As of now it has flowmaster 40 series on it, thinking about going to 18" or 22" magnaflow. Any advice on my predicaments. Thanks

Ah just saw your year there. Someone will be able to point you in the right direction if they're available

Thanks talon, so those 94-01 long tubes would work on the 02 new body, I was wondering about that. Did u also drop your cat. Did u install the headers yourself. Man u have your truck modded to the wall

yep , installed myself. got rid of the cat and used a fastman o2 sim. it was a tight fit for sure. but I had no issues. 3 inch single exhaust .electric cutout after the y,into a magnaflow muffler, dumped before the axel. this is last summer vid.
