Good to know J. I will speak to my tuner who is handling my truck to see what he thinks about it.

Stacking has gotten a bad name for some reason. It is the best option available for the 04 trucks.

Seemed it was an issue on the DSP/SC stack, the SCT/SC stack didnt have issues. I know DSP will ghost more on the PCM and leave tid bits behind.

Never had any ghosting issues here. Over the years I have run a sc3815, then a DSP, then a sc3950, then the SCT stack on top of the sc. I personally think the bad rep for stacking came from people doing steps in the wrong order.

I plan to do the stack route when I get to it. I'm torn about it for the reasons KGB have but I had a dsp before an on stock shift schedules the truck sucked driving around town compared to having the sc w/ trans tuning. Be alot easier if superchips offered custom tuning lol.

it is absolutely the TCM tune. I still find it hard to believe that the sc could do the 04 trans but the dsp couldn't. I also know there were/ are some people with major issues running the dsp for tuning without stacking. before the dsp came out I considered it for a bit but the few people I knew that had them stacked had some issues and the head ache didn't seem worth it.

Stock trans tune is garbage. Between the low shift points and high amounts of tm built into the stock tune these trucks shift like a sluggish marshmallow on stock trans tune. It makes the truck horrible to drive.

I had the TCM tune unloaded when I had the dyno tune performed, it was highly annoying tho drive home with the stock shift schedule.
