Most guys are seeing 30-35hp/tq. The standard Diablo tune is good for about 20-22hp.

Is the hemifever tune ok to use if you only have exhaust done or do you need other upgrades to handle it the way it is supposed to run?

Hemifever will give you noticeable gains even on a completely stock truck. Had I known, I would have got the tuner and Hemifever tune before anything else on my mod list. :)

Hemifever is the guy who does the tuning.

He will have you send him some information and then he will custom write a tune for your truck. His tunes can be used on anything from a stock truck to full bolt ons.

I have a stock '06 with the 5.7 and a DS Trinity.

Let me tell ya...

Not ONCE have I regretted not buying the DS.

The difference between the Hemi Fever tune and stock is unreal.

If you run the HF tune for a week then put it back stock you will thinking about taking your truck to a mechanic because it feels like a slug like something wrong with it.

If you're sitting on the fence about it, wondering if it's worth it, and have the $$$ to buy it - stop. Just buy it.

You won't regret it. And it should actually be the first thing to buy when modding that way you get maximum performance from all other upgrades by adjusting the computer to spec with the new mod parts.

I don't know the HP gains but I can certainly feel the difference in the truck.

I just freshly got and installed my Superchips Flashpaq on my completely stock '02 4.7L. I have loaded the Fuel Saving tune and I am not driving the same truck... Go figure I would have thought the truck would have become a slug on the economy mode, but quite the opposite. I'll run this tune a while and see what I can get out of it and maybe later this spring/summer have a little fun with the 91 tune...

Should be very interesting...

He will probably recommend a 180 tstat change when doing the tune. He definitely knows what he is doing. Night and day difference from the moment I had mine tuned by Hemifever. BUY IT. you won't regret it.

Opens up your coolant at 180* to keep the engine temp around 180 instead of the factory 203. The cooler your engine runs the more performance you get from it.

The t Stat costs like $25 and is an easy change.

Yep, I've been on the fence for a while now. But I've read nothing but GREAT things about Sean.

The custom tune is worth it with or without mods.

I've be running the canned 87 tune since i bought my truck in november, yesterday I loaded the HF 89 tune and my truck feels slower out of the hole, did 6 0-60 runs and my best was 5.82 vs 5.64 on the canned 87 tune...

Nick, send him a datalog then to see why. Also, are you spinning any?

I have never seen a Hemifever tune run slower than Diablo's canned tune. Also, make sure your tire size is set the same on the Hemifever tune as it was on the canned tune. having the tire size even just .5" off will throw off the 0-60 reading on the tuner. That is why I ignore 0-60 times. Its is just way to easy to manipulate those to run faster or slower.

I will be creating a log for Sean, hopefully he can straighten it out. It for sure feels like I lost power out of the hole but appears to pull a little harder at upper rpms. My 87 canned and 89 HF times were on the same tires, same mods, same 4 auto setting.
