So I got my plugs done and noticed my serpentine bet was breaking up on one side, I bought a serpentine belt to replace it. When I had the old belt off I checked the pulleys and noticed the lower idler pulley was very loud and not smooth , so I ran to autozone to get a replacment pulley, my original one was plastic like this one

And he gave me a metal one like this

It is the same size and only a hair wider but installed fine and the truck is alot quieter now but I'm worried can it hurt the truck or should I not worry about it ?

Ok , I didn't know because of the weight difference but I researched some and it looks like some ram owners switched to the metal pulleys vs the plastic ones
