Intake and chip

I'm looking at either a volant or a s&b cold air intake. Anybody have any suggestions as to which one may be better than the other? And has anyone ever used one of the JET chips?

Don't get a jet chip. Garbage from what I've heard. As far as intakes, they're pretty much both well recommended. Those and the vararam intake.

I just don't like the way the vararam intake looks and they are kind of pricey too. Is the super chips still the best thing for a 2003?

I put a SPECTRE cold air intake on my '05. Cost me like $150, looks and sounds GREAT. Saw a little improvement in throttle response, as for any other improvements I figure I will have to put a tune in it, which I have NOT done yet. But for the intake, I've been very pleased with mine.

I'd get a diablo predator for that truck, I have a superchips on my dakota it's very primative. You can find unmarried predators on ebay most of the time.

You can get custom tunes and tweek on it more than a superchips programmer.

Not much more since it's an 03. Because of the crap PCM they have, custom tunability is very limited.
