Sweet!!! Still would have done gears first but that cam will help out some of your issues for sure.

I have talked to Stu before and he said that the crazy spartan on 114lsa would run on canned tunes or stock. If you get it on 112 or 113 lsa that is when you need a custom tune.

I would be running a custom tune with it, but I was told that will run on stock and canned tune.

So, 03MopaRamman, what are you going to tune it with?

My order is processing with Bob at Moes so who knows when it'll get here.
My guess is week and a half to here then the very next weekend I'll put it in myself/alone like the 6.1.

The gears will cost about 1200 CDN just for parts and either another 800 to 1,000 to get em in or 3 to 4 hundred in tools and research if I do them myself. So with changing jobs soon I just can't afford to fork out that kinda dough till my big severence check arrives. I am Luckey the Wife bought my latest excuse to get the Cam so cut-off till then. P/UP some Mopar Anti-freeze today and ordered my Cam and Crank Bolt. I have the Damper insert tool and may order the pulley removal tool as I trashed my stock damper last time but the rubber was cracked and hangin out anyways.

So I ordered the 114 cause I read alot of threads on most 5.7L sites and ran across Stu's confirmation that it would run on an SC Canned Tune so that is why I chose this Cam. I have an 03 and read there where issues with idling when it came to the 260 so I did not go there, sidewinder to much trouble to get up here. I was gonna go Crazy Jay too. So the plan is, install the Cam and run the SC Tune, get my gears done (undecided about 4.10 or 4.56 as it depends on final choice of rubber). If the Cam performs well enough below 6000 Rpm then like Red and AF I will go DSP and get a custom tune to get the full potential from the Cam. I can live without the speed limiter raising. Only other Mods I would do prior would be a Ported Throttle Body and MIT or CAI set-up. I may get a sharadon Stage 2 VB, some better Plug wires but that will be about it for now.

The crystal ball after that is to buy either an SRT Challenger, 5 oh Stang, or Camaro Z28 depending on whats the fastest in 2013 (if we pass armagedon of course). Got my fingers crossed the 6.4 will be out and My garage will be built by then.

Finally don't wanna sound dumb but who is Ice? and do you guys re-alize I am in Canada and I think he could get one new for like 138 bucks?

ice is a member on here. and i forgot u were in canada. not gonna get a new one bc it cost 200 to get a reground so that would defeat the purpose of getting a cheap 6.1 cam...

I understand, and you don't wanna know what the 6.1 cost me but it wasn't cheap, if he was near I might help him out but given that stuff ain't cheap up here I could prolly sell it and recoup some dough. Would a used stocker work as a donor for a regrind?

It should run fine on a canned tune until you get around to getting a custom tune. My sidewinder is on a 114 and runs just fine on canned sc.

Good to know (I mean was wondering what your LSA was) so I think I'm good, just a Tad nervous about the speed of Moes Performance in getting a fellows order out. Nothing heard yet but its only been a day and still haven't got the paypal for the shipping and now its the weekend. Anyhow yours being 04 you got those new tranny adjustments from SC you can play with right?
