What would cause your heat to switch to cold by it self when you stop or hit a bump and just turn the fan on low? Seems like half my morning commute I'm messing with the knobs on off on off til I hear a loud flop then I know I'm in Business.

Actuator or door

This would be one of three problems. A. is it's the blend doors that close off the heater core have broken down the shaft. If this is the case you will need to pull dash and remove the hvac box and take everything apart and find the broken door. There are 4 doors inside this box 2 that close off the heater core and 2 others for direction. B. the fresh air door has broken either the actuator or the shaft, which can be fixed by not removing the dash it's right behind the glovebox. C. It's the actuator for heater core blend doors. Which can be done by takes some dash facade off.
