I have the 4.7 2003 qc and didn't know at time but the radiator had a leak then over heated engine. Since then i have some rod knock. It has always had some valve ticking but then gets worse under normal Acceleration. I can't complain as it does have 215,000 miles on it. What places to buy replacement engines from is the best.

Could do another 4.7 junk yard motor from a wrecked truck, or Hemi swap

That'd be a lot of work for a Hemi swap. Tranny, computer, motor, wiring. You'd be better off rebuilding one. You're lucky you didn't blow up the engine overheating it, of course it is a Dodge and I've seen that happen to some older Ford's.
