So like the title says, I am getting ready to do the efan mod next week hopefully. With these gas prices getting rediculous and me finding a perfectly good efan in my brothers parts car, its time to do it. So I bought a fan controller, but its for 1 speed, the fan is 2 speed, so should I hook it up to low? I am kinda weary about hooking it up to high, cuz that would burn it up pretty quick I think.

Also is there a place online where you can buy those ziptie things? My local places dont have any.

And we allready have an electronic fan for the AC right? So dont worry about hooking that up correct?

And what temps are you guys running at now with the fan? I was thinking to set the controller at 190? Sound about right?

The fan I am going to use if from a 2001 Crown Vic Cop Car, It flows a little better than a taurus fan from what I have read and heard, and it is bigger too. Now the only thing I have to hope for is that all the idling and usage of the fan while it was in service wasnt too bad, otherwise I will be looking for a new motor. I have tested the fan and it works great.

you'll be fine with low side. if you need to hook up the high side also, i've got a wiring schematic that will show you how to do it utilizing a relay and switch in the cab (to turn on/off high side at will).

AC does not need hooked up to it, and you'll want it to come on just after your t-stat opens, so if you have a 180 tstat, 190 is good.

I have the stock T-Stat, and Im always at 200ish while driving, so 190 still good or should it go higher or lower?

i have mine a bit higher. if you have your efan set at 190 its gonna be running all the time nonstop. set the efan to something like 210 that way it only comes on when the motor is gettin hot

Yep what af said. I would suggest an override switch in case the relay craps out. And don't get a pos controller from advance. Get one from summit.

The place you bought the controller should have had the mounts for the fan. If you need them, I can get the Hayden number for them

What I really like about OEM fans is the life time warranty's on replacement parts that can be gotton from most any parts store. A police take-off has got to be the best..

i just ran mine through the radiator where the holes from the efan lined up. you can put them through anywhere --thats the advantage to this type of ziptie.

put your efan in place where you want it, then run the ziptie through the 4 holes (one in each corner of the fan). bear in mind because of the tranny cooler you may not be able to do all 4. 3 is sufficient for sure. Or, another option would be just drilling new holes in the efan shroud so you can get the zipties where you want them
