Okay. Well. The clamp on the negative side of the battery is extremely rusted, and has broken. My question is is the clamp on the battery welded to the clamp connected to the battery post, or can I buy a new one and just screw everything back on?

Just get a new one that allows two hook up points . I just replaced all 4 in mine . No biggy

So, the wire that goes off to the left in the second picture can be removed easily? Screw off screw on?

yes , just get a new post . On the negative side that goes to the frame as a ground

Sorry guys. I've been out and about. I don't know what caused it to rust, but it snapped right off. And of course, I can't get it off tonight because of how rusted the bolt is to the clamp. Going to have to go get something to eat away the rust tomorrow morning.

spray it down with PB Blaster let it sit for a bit and take care of it ... easy fix

The engine bay looks pretty clean so could but be from alot of washing IDK.

You should be ok with any penetrating oil. Just let it sit for a bit.

Thirty minutes of jacking with it with PB blaster an it finally came loose. All good to go.
