I'm looking into getting an electric cutout for my 2008 4.7l 1500. Truck currently has a si/do Flowmaster super 44. Just looking to add a little more "grunt" to the sound. Thought the Raceland model looked alright, anybody have experience with these?

I think sone people have had trouble with leaking on these. Look at QuickTime performance cut outs. Cnc machined, all metal motor housing and waterproof connector. Plus the motor constantly provides like 1.5 foot pounds of torque to keep it closed when you want.

Bunch of guys on here are running one. They should chime in soon. I've had mine on order since Valentines day. It's been on backorder and should hopefully ship Friday.

Alright well maybe it was like 1 or two that leaked. But they quickly got replaced and then had no problems. Other than the RARE leak, they are great.

just check it now and then, the build up of carbon in the plate can and will cause the plate to not fully shut, but that can/ will/ has happened to other cutouts as well. It's the nature of an electric cutout. Just keep an eye on it, do not open it or close it under load and you should be fine.

Had mine for about two years now, no issues. I love it and plan on keeping my exhaust like this.

Plan would be to mainly keep it open in town and closed on the highway. So just check on it every once in a while? Anyone else have experience with other brands of e cutouts?

I have the Raceland as well.. I actually think it's leaking or something too, need to get under there and check it out. But I see that happening with any electric cutout after so long. But I still love mine :D

I had a DMH Cutout prior to the raceland that was a solid setup, nice push button design instead of the remote. It was also a hundred+ more $$$ than the raceland when I decided to go back to a cutout. Welcome to DMH Performance!

I like the fact that DMH has the 4 year warranty. You cant beat that so my vote goes for DMH. After reading some reviews on different brands all seem to have some issues with leaks around the butterfly over time.

DMH used to have sketch customer service but that might have been adressed and fixed.

Customer service might be the deciding factor as i sent them an email 2 days ago and have tried to reach them by phone as well for questions and no reply yet and no answer by phone or voicemail.
