Current situation, 392 stroker running custom diably tune from hemifever.

Superchips seems to be the only tuner than can raise the rev limit on 03's and apparantly it's possible to stack the superchips and diablo. Has anybody actually done it and how is it done does it matter in wich order you use the tuners and info like that?

On a sidenote, anyone has a superchips tuner they wanna get rid of? Let me know.

DSP is for the custom tune only? Yep just read it is.
This is just from experience from my SC/SCT stack.
You will remove the custom tune and return the truck to stock
Plug in Superchips. Setup your tire sizes, shift points and then load the 91 canned tune.
Once done then unplug the SC and then plug in the DSP and load up the custom tune.
Once done you unplug and crank her up

The only problem with the 03's is that you can raise the rev limiter, but not the shift points. Even with Superchips, you will have to manually shift to see anything over about 5800.

Way ahead of ya :)

I know about all the limitations of the 03 pcm, all I'm interested in is to raise the rev limit, diablo does the rest.

So if I understood correctly, I reset the pcm back to the stock tune using the diablo. Then load the superchips tune (or can I just adjust the rev limit without loading a superchips tune?) and then reload the diablo custom tune?

Thinking about putting the rpm limit @ 6500 rpm (inertia recommendation) what do you guys think?

Since I only want the superchips for the rpm limit one of the older ones (forgot the type number) would be perfect for me, surely someone must have an older one lying around somewhere?

Edit: would a superchips 3715 work, found one for sale and it's considerably cheaper than the more modern ones (wich I don't need)

3715 is the older model for the ram trucks. I was only able to raise my rev limit to 6200 though with the 3715.

Just found the manual online for the 3715 and it does state that you can up the limit with either 250 or 500 rpm.

Anyone happen to know for sure wich superchips I need to be able to raise the rpm limit to 6500?

Good Q. Mine (3815 on early 04 TCM) is 6200 when i leave it in D. Custom tune from Sean allows 7k when manually shifting.

Gettin more complicated -) next question would be can a custom superchips tune be stacked with a custom diablo tune?

Anybody got any first hand experience stacking tuners on a 03, what superchips do I need? Confused now:confused:

I'm a little confused as to how you can "stack" these tuners.. I have run a Cummins from 99' till 2012 and know all about stacking diesel modules but they are external fueling units. If these to units both basically reflash the PCM wouldn't the one that was flashed last just wipe out the last??

Looking at your mod list I guess this is first hand info that you tried/tested yourself? What type superchips do I need or do they all work (as long as they are for the 2003 offcourse) and how exactly does the stacking go, or doesn't it matter in what order you load the tunes?

Any vids of your truck somewhere? Sounds interesting :)

A guy on DT posted about it, I think you responded to it. Load the superchips first, then disconnect the TCM. Then load your dsp custom tune. Then plug the TCM back in. I haven't tried it, but that SHOULD give you the rev and speed limit lift.
