Hey guys I've got an 04 1500 4x4 with the HEMI. It's got 280, 000 on the motor and im wanting to rebuild to about 450hp. Any advice on internal mods to get to that level of performance?

Heck, your at 390 hp stock. A cam and longtube headers will get you close. Your budget will really determine how far you can go: cam, heads, blower, Nitrous?

What about the trany? Or a 2600 lock up Torque converter for better take offs.

In the preferred vendors to the right--->>> you will find a couple of sources with the term 'performance' in their titles. Contacting them would be a great place to spec out your options.

My spec sheet says its only 350hp. And I think It may have to be bored? Also does anyone have any specific parts they would recommend? Such as a good cam for that motor.

Welcome. Do you want 450 at the crank or at the tires? That will start pointing us in the right direction.

He can do 450 at the crank with a good set of BV heads and a good cam with some tuning. If he wants at the wheels its gonna take some stroking and boosting or being bottle fed. While to motor is out I would get the trans built up for wanting to push that power level at that many miles.

X2 to get 450+ rwhp u will need atleast a 400+ ci motor with a aggressive cam. These 545rfe rob alot of power. Like bigcountry said if u want 450 at the crank some big valve heads and a good cam should do it.

Your doing BV heads? Also you gonna do a stall to support a bigger cam? The questions will help us go in the right direction. If your doing both of those then you can run more lift and duration which means more peak HP.
