Hey guys I have an 04 5.7 that has a couple coils that have cracked plastic and are splitting apart. I also have sparks arcing from the back valve cover bolt. I was told by the Dodge dealer not to use anything but the mopar coils or I'll have trouble is this correct or can I get away with cheaper aftermarket one from my parts store.

Thanks Jeff

The Mopar coils are the best quality. The MSD coils work just fine but they do have a higher failure rate compared to the Mopar coils.

I'm not looking at msd just the Standard Motor Performance oem replacements. The dealer wants 89$ apiece and I can get the others for half that
