I helped a friend install arh lt's on his 11 express an during install was seeing how nice they looked(stainless) an like you commented before after all the work I would be rather pist if they rusted out. An 130 seems like a really good price for the coating.

I have uncoated (shorties mind You), no salt out here and after four years removed them for a repaint and have surface rust again, so weighing the cost of 6.1 bolts and oem gaskets vs the coating in my case I might be Ok but next time especially the pacesetters i will spring the extra for the coating, Now on my Cammed LX car I have shorties and HF Cats Mids and they are BBK chromed, been on there since last July and look brand new with just a bit of blueing so for those thats what I like but Chrome on a Long Tube I have no experience. Headers are a great investment and seeing your mods with a SC, I can see her squaking in second gear on a 6200, 1-2 if she doesn't already chirp.
